Video, Presentation and Blog: Educational TEACHnologies Today





            We all know that technology embraces almost all aspects of the modern world. As you can see in our surrounding, people are always handling their mobile phones, having a lot of gadgets like laptop and many more. CCTV cameras around the streets, using mobile to pick up taxis and accessing maps through cellphone to determine your location are just some of the contribution of technology to us. It is very apparent that it’s a way far better than those we had experienced during the traditional era.

         

   In education, technology continue making every transaction, discussion, and the like more effective, efficient and most of all convenient, just the use of Videos, PowerPoint Presentations and Blogging through online publication. Videos are commonly used to present details especially if the subjects are in motion and more detailed. More so, videos are used to view short films, documentaries and other cinematographic clippings. 



            Among the technological integration in education, PowerPoint presentation is the most convenient and widely used because it has built-in professional-looking graphics and tools that allows even the most novice user to create impressive visual presentations. More so, PowerPoint presentation consists of a series of user-created slides. It has several templates to assist with slide creation, or users may opt for a design of their own. PowerPoint presentations can be displayed via most video projectors and can be printed out as a takeaway for the audience.

 
        



    On the other hand, a blog is just a type of website with a specific format. Blogging is the new way to publish written articles and documents through the use of internet. Teachers opt to use this kind of educational technology to give avenue for the students to publish their own work especially in literature and other field. 






            Though the three educational technologies mentioned above differ from each other on their features and the way they will be created but they share a common endpoint which is to make presentation of ideas more creative and comprehensive. Through these, learning can be more powerful and effective with lesser time to consume. 

            It’s already 21srt Century now, we are already living in a cyber-world and all we have to do is to embrace technology and continue to utilize it on the real purposes it served.
